Tacoma Summer Camp at Zestful Gardens

Zestful Gardens Farm Camp is a 4 hour day camp for kids ages 4-14, aimed at bringing classic summer adventures to kids on our organic working farm. There is one overarching theme for each week, taught by experienced teachers. Campers are split into two camp groups based on age and run simultaneously on separate locations of the farm. Each day includes farm chores: feeding the animals, gathering eggs, harvesting vegetables and fruit, and activities in the garden. Theme based projects, songs, stories, and a hearty mid- morning snack of organic fruits and vegetables picked fresh from the farm round out the day’s activities. Farm camp strives to help kids develop a sense of self in relationship to community and the earth through fun, play-based nature education.
Camp runs 6 weeks of summer from June 22- July 31, 2020. Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm, with aftercare options from 1pm-5pm. Pay is $13-$18/hr (based on position).
